in this essay, the negative and positive effects of arts regulation in Singapore on 3 stakeholders of the arts ecosystem (artists, art institutions, society/general audiences) are broken down with case studies and literature reviews.

Arts Developmental Policies in Singapore
this group presentation was particularly interesting to decipher. in attempting to understand how the state (Singapore) perceived the economic and social benefits of arts during a period where its cultural identity was obscure- we compared how 2 arts organisations (The Substation & The Esplanade) served the state's needs and what led to such a differentiated treatment between one independent and the other state-run.
